The importance of Critical Reading Skill (CRS) and gender sensitivity to support every individual’s success in academic, personal, social life has long been acknowledged. accelerating advancement technology makes the need for CRS & more crucial. However, due various factors, development through educational process not satisfactory. This research reviews current ideas studies on nature CRS, sensitivity, fiction, their role developing CRS. To get about how implement using fiction promote this study ends with practical description a step by an instructional model. employs Classroom Action Research (CAR). designs are systematic procedures used teachers gather qualitative data address improvements setting, teaching, learning students. enables keep track take account many aspects work students routine. aims investigate critical reading strategies employed Indonesian English as Foreign Language (EFL) achieve aim study, Stringer’s Model that is cyclical repetitive inquiry i.e. Look, Think, Act was utilized. Bloom’s taxonomy useful reference tool describe ability thinking simply undergraduate EFL encouraged employ systematically thorough engage sensitivity. instruction based cognitive domain also explicit direct so able ask organized higher order questions. Throughout believe difficulties were lack rather than skills.
